And for the challenger: the reader will recall that in 2001 G.W.Bush ushered in a cast of Cold War veterans who, in order to sustain the Military-Industrial Complex, dreamed up a new enemy (Islamo-fascism) to replace the old enemy (Soviet Union), which was no longer a threat. Romney however seems to be ushering in many of the same characters who (out of senility?) are simply regressing back to the original enemy, even by its long defunct name...

Bush administrations... Williamson, in recent criticism of the Obama administration's policy regarding Syria, stated that Syria is "strategically important to the Soviet Union."

Romney, himself, referred to the “Soviet Union” -- before he corrected himself to say Russia -- in criticizing Obama's nuclear weapons reduction agreements with Russia.

Romney’s defense policy adviser, former Navy Secretary John Lehman, warned that the Obama administration was not doing enough to stop a "Soviet" push into the Arctic.

Such Cold War nostalgia is also evident in a laughable explanation regarding the massive purchases of ammunition by DHS and other agencies (linked above)...

“Let’s not forget that the real person running [Department of] Homeland Security is not Janet Napolitano, it is Valarie Jarrett, the communist,” Wiles explains.  “And her father-in-law was Vernon Jarrett, who was a close confidant of Frank Marshal Davis, Barrack Obama’s communist mentor.

Ah yes, here we go again, the ghosts of pinko-commies past that continue to haunt the White House...
