Polygamy now a campaign issue

Tony Alamo and Warren Jeffs may be sitting in prison today, but tomorrow the institution of polygamy that they both have practiced may have a shot at legal recognition, regardless of who wins the presidential election...

DiscoveryOBAMA, ROMNEY FAMILY TIES SHARE POLYGAMY, MORE

On the one hand, Mitt Romney is descended from two great grandfathers who fled as polygamist refugees to the Mormon Colonia Dublán in Mexico. Heleman Pratt had three wives and Miles Park Romney had four wives. Obama's Kenyan grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama, also had at least four wives, while his father called himself a "serial polygamist." Obama's mentor and alleged father (though doubtful for reasons we have covered), Frank Marshall Davis, expressed his opinion in Sex Rebel: Black that "I wished polygamy were possible... At the same time I would have had no objection to polyandry..."

Perhaps this would explain the curious reaction to a question concerning polygamy when posed to the White House Press Secretary recently...

As with so many other issues, again, there is virtually no difference between the two establishment candidates.
