Earth: Hot Strumpet or Frigid Spinster

The planet may be getting warmer or cooling down. Just like a woman, one should never pretend to know what she will do. One thing is certain, the controversy over global warming is heating up with the release of hacked emails from Climatic Research Unit, available at WikiLeaks.

Luna: Moist and Ready

The presence of water on the moon has been long anticipated. Only now is it finally confirmed, first by the Indian space agency, ISRO (with a NASA instrument)...

His Sullied Highness

Let this be a lesson: if you are a Sovereign, and you hire an intelligence contractor who is not your subject, who is in fact a foreign national, and you fail to meet your contractual obligations with said national, do not be surprised that your sovereignty should be trumped by his sovereignty, belonging to the American People, who thus are now informed of said breach of contract, here published by the Superior Court of the State of California, spilling your privy intelligence for all the world to see...

Robert Eringer v. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco

Update, Nov. 13

HSH has invoked sovereign immunity, so Mr. Eringer won't be getting paid. But, given what he knows, he certainly could write a book and pay himself back that way. From his web log...

Press Release

Update, Nov. 19

Eringer reopens the case, this time lodging the suit against Monaco itself. As we read in his post, "Eringer names the nation-state of Monaco as a defendant on the basis that Prince Albert acted on behalf of Monaco in his dealings with Eringer." But, Monaco is not simply a "nation-state," it is a principality. It may seem a pointless distinction, but it is a point the defendant might pursue... There is virtually no distinction between the person of the prince and the dominion of the principality. They are the two corporalities of the same sovereign, one mortal and one eternal. Read The King's Two Bodies by Ernst Kantorowicz for explication.

So, we do not expect this shall go far either. Really, the only way to resolve the dispute between these sovereign entities is by force. The United States will need to declare war against Monaco.

A Hankering for the Cyber Pearl Harbor

In the current issue of Foreign Affairs, General Wesley Clark and Peter Levin pen an essay, Securing the Information Highway, which contains a passage with a familiar tone:

Adversaries planning cyberattacks on the United States enjoy two other advantages. The first, and most dangerous, is Americans' sense of false security: this self-delusion that since nothing terrible has happened to the country's IT infrastructure, nothing will... Overcoming a complacent mentality will be as difficult a challenge as actually allocating the resources for genuine hardware assurance. Second, the passage of time will allow adversaries and cybercriminals to optimize the stealth and destructiveness of their weapons; the longer the U.S. government waits, the more devastating the eventual assault is likely to be.

The implied resolution to the problem is similar in tone not only to that of the infamous PNAC statement,

...the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor. -Pg. 51

- oft quoted by 9/11 "inside job" theorists as the proof of motive - but more so to that of the Hart-Rudman report for the U.S. Commission on National Security, or New World Coming, where in the report for Phase I (Aug. 1999), we read: "for many years to come Americans will become increasingly less secure, and much less secure than they now believe themselves to be." (italics in original)

The dilemma: Americans are asleep to the threat. How do we wake them up? Should we stage an event that is significant but not too devastating to the country?

Given some of the scenarios pondered in the Hart-Rudman report, such as full-scale nuclear detonations or bio attacks with casualties in the hundreds of thousands if not millions, we recall being somewhat relieved when the big day came. But, we were expecting it.

Ye best get off the grid, or at least be not quite so dependant on it.

LaRouche to the Rescue

If one read nothing but The Executive Intelligence Review, one might come away with the impression that the fate of the world rests in the hands of Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. During the month of October, we saw, though it wasn't readily apparent, the commencement of the next phase of the total breakdown of the monetarist system, as predicted by LaRouche, while Obama pow-wowed with his economic behaviorist advisers, all agents of British/Wall St. interests, lead by the most vile of human beings, Larry Summers, leaving the relatively capable and well meaning Paul Volcker to twiddle his thumbs in the White House basement.

Meanwhile, at the World Public Forum, held on the Island of Rhodes, Greece, LaRouche presented his "Four Powers Agreement" - a plan he has been promoting over the past several months to develop a world Hamiltonian credit system based upon principles of physical economy, doing away once and for all with the parasitical financial instruments of British imperialism. Lo and behold, simultaneously with the forum, talks were being held between Russia and China (two of the four powers - with India and the currently derelict U.S. completing the quartet) in which the neighboring countries agreed to significant infrastructural development throughout the Eurasian land mass, with China allegedly supplying it's U.S. debt holdings as collateral to help finance the projects. LaRouche commented...

“And what this means is, that now you have a stepping stone towards what I've proposed as the four-power agreement to launch a new world financial, a new credit system. And so this is extremely important. It is not all the way, yet — you know what's going on in the United States.”

What's going on in the U.S. is the ill-conceived, or rather, maliciously conceived attempt to bail out a failed financial system, by the design of that snivelling reptile and British agent, Larry Summers. But regardless, if current U.S. leadership is too incompetent to sort out its debt, the Chinese will know how to use it.

Or so "the LaRouche version of history" (Zbig Brzezinski's expression) would have it. The Obama apologists will counter, stretching credulity... 'well, Larry Summers helped get us into this mess... so who could be more qualified to get us out of it'...?

Or perhaps, Obama is simply "keeping his enemies close," letting them wreck the economy so as to discredit casino-capitalism once and for all. We recall, in his post-election 60 Minutes interview, that Obama suggested that 'we'll try things that might not work' in solving the economic problems, and then try other things. Hence, Summers and the "Goldman Sux" banksters have had the first go at undoing their mess. (The recent Frontline episode, The Warning, serves as a good primer on how this mess was set up in the '90s.) And up next: LaRouche's people? - whoever they might be... LaRouche occasionally alludes to his neglected team in the White House. For instance, beginning at time stamp 25:45 of this October 10th Zavtra interview, LaRouche says 'we have a group... a team of people who were originally selected to be advisers to Obama'...

But, back to the 60 Minutes interview with Obama, the following exchange is curious:

Mr. Obama: Yeah. I've been spending a lot of time reading Lincoln. There is a wisdom there and a humility about his approach to government, even before he was president, that I just find very helpful.

Kroft: Put a lot of his political enemies in his cabinet.

Mr. Obama: He did.

Kroft: Is that something you're considering?

Mr. Obama: Well, I tell you what, I find him a very wise man.

Was this a foreshadowing of a grand Machiavellian stratagem for thwarting the entrenched Wall St. and British financial interests? And all the while, behind the scenes, he quietly lays the groundwork for something like LaRouche's Four Powers, while LaRouche for his part plays the opposition (i.e. the LaRouchePAC town hall provocateuring - to entertain an alternate interpretation of that phenomenon from that which was put forward in our Controlled Aversive Environments post)...

Consider the continued snubbing of Gordon Brown:

Gordon Brown lurched from being hailed as a global statesman to intense embarrassment tonight, after it emerged US President Barack Obama had turned down no fewer than five requests from Downing Street to hold a bilateral meeting at the United Nations in New York or at the G20 summit starting in Pittsburgh today...

But Obama has held bilateral meetings in New York with the Chinese president, Hu Jintao, the Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, and the new Japanese prime minister, Yukio Hatoyama.

We might be projecting more genius than is there. But as in all matters geo-political, time will tell.
